Overview

ORROMFG manufactures custom hot forged steel shafts engineered for heavy-duty industrial applications. Our forged shafts are produced using closed-die hot forging technology, which aligns the metal grain flow along the shaft’s contour, delivering superior fatigue strength and torsional resistance compared to machined-from-bar alternatives. These shafts serve critical roles in wind turbine gearboxes, heavy machinery drivetrains, pump assemblies, and industrial transmission systems.

Key Features

  • Optimized grain flow: Forged grain structure follows the shaft geometry for maximum fatigue resistance
  • Wide material range: Carbon steels, alloy steels, and stainless steels to match application requirements
  • Integrated machining: Post-forge CNC turning, grinding, and spline cutting for finished assemblies
  • Heat treatment: Normalizing, quenching & tempering, and case hardening as specified
  • Size versatility: Shafts from 100 mm to over 2,000 mm in length
