Overview

Our sand-cast iron pump bodies are manufactured using high-quality grey cast iron and ductile iron. The sand casting process is ideal for producing large, robust components with complex internal passages at competitive costs.

Key Features

  • Sand casting process: Green sand and resin sand molding for various sizes
  • Pressure resistance: Rated for pressures up to 25 bar
  • Wall thickness: Uniform wall sections from 8mm to 50mm
  • Material grades: HT250 grey iron, QT500-7 ductile iron, and custom alloys

Manufacturing Process

  1. Pattern making — Precision wood or metal patterns to exact specifications
  2. Mold preparation — Green sand or resin-bonded sand molding
  3. Melting & pouring — Iron melted in induction furnaces at 1450°C+
  4. Cooling & shakeout — Controlled cooling, sand removal
  5. Machining — CNC machining of flanges, bores, and sealing surfaces
  6. Testing — Hydrostatic pressure testing and dimensional inspection
