Overview

ORROMFG produces precision deep drawn cups, shells, and cylindrical components using progressive and transfer deep draw tooling. Deep drawing is a cold forming process that transforms flat sheet metal blanks into seamless, dimensionally accurate cylindrical or rectangular shapes. The resulting components offer superior strength-to-weight ratios, uniform wall thickness, and leak-proof integrity — making them ideal for sensor housings, filter cans, connector shells, and battery cases.

Key Features

  • Seamless construction: No weld seams or joints for pressure integrity and structural strength
  • Tight tolerances: ±0.03 mm on critical diameters and depths for precise assembly fit
  • Uniform wall thickness: Controlled material flow ensures consistent wall thickness throughout the draw
  • High volume capability: Progressive die deep drawing for production quantities up to 1,000,000+ pieces
  • Superior surface finish: Smooth drawn surfaces, ideal for polished or plated applications

Component Types

  • Sensor housings — Stainless steel and brass housings for pressure, temperature, and proximity sensors
  • Filter cans and cartridges — Seamless filter housings for hydraulic, fuel, and air filtration systems
  • Connector shells — Cylindrical and rectangular connector housings for electrical and fiber optic connectors
  • Battery cases — Cylindrical and prismatic battery cans for lithium-ion and alkaline batteries
  • Motor housings — Deep drawn motor shells and stator housings for small DC and stepper motors
  • Capacitor cans — Aluminum and steel cans for electrolytic and film capacitor assemblies

Applications

  • Sensor technology: Pressure transducer housings, temperature probe shells, and proximity sensor bodies
  • Filtration: Hydraulic filter housings, fuel filter cans, and industrial filter element end caps
  • Electronics: Connector shells, relay housings, and capacitor cans
  • Medical devices: Surgical instrument components and implantable device housings
  • Automotive: Fuel injector components, sensor housings, and fluid system components
